Terms & Clarifications

Definitions and conditions that remove ambiguity from our programmes and editorial content.

What counts as a strategic management course?

Any lecture series that addresses organisational structure, decision rights, resource allocation, or performance governance. We do not label motivational talks or general productivity advice as strategic management.

How are podcast episodes different from course lectures?

Podcast episodes are recorded conversations and case narratives meant for public listening. Course lectures are structured, sequential lessons with reading materials and exercises, available only to enrolled participants.

What does "operational risk" cover in our materials?

Operational risk refers to losses or disruptions caused by failed internal processes, people, systems, or external events. We focus on identification, assessment, and mitigation within corporate settings, not personal finance or investment risk.

Are the B2B negotiation frameworks applicable to small businesses?

Yes. The frameworks are designed around deal structure, counterpart analysis, and value mapping, which scale from mid-sized suppliers to enterprise procurement teams. The examples in our episodes use anonymised real-world cases.

Do we provide certification after completing a course?

We issue a certificate of completion for courses that include a final assessment. The certificate confirms attendance and successful submission of the required case analysis. It is not an academic degree or professional licence.

How is editorial content separated from sponsored material?

All sponsored or partner-funded content is clearly marked at the top and bottom of the page. Editorial decisions about topics and guests are made independently of any commercial agreements.
